Direct Mail Concept aimed at raising funds for the DEC's Gaza appeal
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), is a collective of 13 leading UK charities which come together at times of extraordinary crisis—such as the Gaza Children’s Appeal.
In an age of unlimited media access and rolling news, the DEC—who rely entirely on public generosity to support their activities—face an ever challenging climate of de-sensitivity to the atrocities with which they are concerned. As a declining revenue stream, the DEC’s direct mail campaign required a concept overhaul to once again re-capture the attention and sympathies of it’s recipients.
A tactile and interactive design object, which brings the message to life with child like typographic imagery juxtaposed against strong and candid messaging, revealing itself to the recipient with its spring-loaded fold.
